Twins Rally Late to Clip Houston
The Minnesota Twins, despite a fine performance by Houston pitcher Chris Elston, grabbed a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Richter Field. Elston allowed no runs over 5 innings. The Twins go to 52-47, putting them second in the American League Central Division.

Minnesota got a knockout punch from Cândido Custance. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Houston manager Ron Astros GM said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
