Revolution Heading to Atlantic League Championship
|
The Round 1 didn't live up to the billing from those who thought it would be an all-out battle to the last game.
But the York Revolution are no doubt pleased by the results, as they have knocked out the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs 4-2 to advance to the Atlantic League Championship.
"It doesn't matter how you win it, as long as you win it and get yourself moving forward," said Revolution right fielder Sam Craft. "I know a lot of people thought this was going to be a really tight series the whole way through, but we're glad it didn't go right down to the wire."
York won the final game by a score of 10-0 at Regency Furniture Stadium.
Craft was named series MVP after hitting .348 with a .375 on-base percentage. He also had 5 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 6 runs.
The York Revolution will play against the Long Island Ducks in the next round. Long Island won their series against the High Point Rockers 4 games to 2. The Atlantic League Championship is scheduled to begin on September 22nd , 2060.
