When he got to Asheville, Robbie Stevens was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Round 1.

The 21-year-old rookie right-hander shut out the host Greensboro Grasshoppers, 10-0, in a remarkable performance at First National Bank Field. With the win, the Tourists took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 Round 1.

In his 95-pitch effort, Stevens allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8.1 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 2.

Tourists manager had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 16th , 2060 at McCormick Field in Asheville.
