Almost There: Arkansas On Cusp of Round 2 Triumph After 2-0 Win
|
Abel Bon pitched a gem to help the Arkansas Travelers escape with a tight, 2-0 victory over the Harrisburg Senators in a low-scoring Round 2 contest. The right-handed Bon threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball in the win, just enough for the Travelers on a day when their offense dried up. Arkansas now leads the best-of-7 series 3-1.
Arkansas starter Abel Bon was exceptional. The 6-foot-3 right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.
"Abel's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Arkansas manager .
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at FNB Field in Harrisburg.
