Brewers Pop Braves, 10-4
|
In the 10-4 Milwaukee win over Atlanta, the impact of William Feltham was substantial. Feltham, who finished 5th in the NL in OPS with .927 last year, was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Brewers are now 44-50.
Ron Bean had a big 2-run double for the Brewers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Milwaukee trailing 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 27-year old left-handed pitcher Elijah Slaughter and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Brewers ahead, 5-4.
"If it's down the middle," said Feltham, "you might as well hit it."
