Blue Jays Get Dramatic 4-2 Triumph
|
Toronto pitcher Sam Bazydlo did his part in helping his team beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The first-place Blue Jays improved to 49-40.
Toronto got a clutch hit from Joe Lucas. The third baseman socked a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was game-ender.
"No one can call baseball boring," said Blue Jays manager Ben Smith. "Not after a game like that."
