The Houston Astros took down the New York Yankees by the score of 7-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the League Championship Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Houston starter Walt Walkama, who threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball.

Houston used a well-timed hit by Ben Hinzman to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Astros ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hinzman told the Houston Today. "It's as simple as that."

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
