The Burlington Bees dealt the Quad Cities River Bandits a 4-2 loss at Modern Woodmen Park. Robby Pederson was the star on offense. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Franz Taafe closed the door for Burlington, picking up his 15th save of the year. Burlington is now 93-42.
In the top of the first, Pederson had a solo home run for Burlington. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Bees on top, 1-0.
"Winning is always a team effort," Pederson said after the game.
