Bowling Green Tumbles Again, Falls, 3-2, to Lansing
|
Starting pitcher Jonathan Moreno gave the Lansing Lugnuts a rock-solid effort. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native helped his team defeat the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 3-2, at Cooley Law School Stadium. Jim Unknown was credited with the save for Lansing, his 1st of the season. Bowling Green is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
The Lugnuts benefited from an error in the bottom of the second inning. Lansing was leading 2-1 when Tim Kurtze hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Lansing in front, 3-1.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Kurtze.
