A good performance from designated hitter Victor Valenzuela helped the Fort Wayne TinCaps defeat the Lake County Captains, 10-5. Valenzuela was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the TinCaps. Fort Wayne reliever Pat Will snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jaden Ruffin shouldered the loss. Fort Wayne now sports a record of 73-62.

Mike Molina had a big 2-run double for the TinCaps in the bottom of the second inning. With Fort Wayne leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Jaden Ruffin, who is tied for 2nd in the MWL with a 5.7 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the TinCaps ahead, 6-3.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Lake County manager .
