Lansing Rallies to 5-4 Win
|
Despite a great performance by Clinton shortstop Hyo-kon Lee, the Lansing Lugnuts defeated the LumberKings by the score of 5-4 in 10 innings at Cooley Law School Stadium. Lee went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lansing reliever Jesus Valenzuela snagged the win, upping his record to 6-1. Joe Peterson shouldered the loss. Lansing is now 66-59.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Lansing first baseman Davon Nash, facing Trevor Platt, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Lugnuts the 5-4 win.
"What an ending!" said a jubilant Nash.
