Timber Rattlers Win at Dayton, 6-1
|
The Dayton Dragons had their hands full with Wisconsin Timber Rattlers starter Dylan Jones, who frustrated Dayton hitters while leading Wisconsin to a comfortable, 6-1 win. The 7th-place Dragons have lost 5 straight games.
Wisconsin designated hitter Jonathan Ludden contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Timber Rattlers ahead, 3-1.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Ludden.
