The Burlington Bees beat the Beloit Snappers, 8-5, at Community Field. Burlington catcher Tim McAdoo had the hot bat. He went 4-5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Burlington is sitting pretty at 81-38.

Had Mike Higginbotham not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Higginbotham hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Bees.
