Burrows Leads Tigers to 3-0 Win over Rangers
Detroit got a first-rate effort from pitcher Steve Burrows, who frustrated Texas hitters en route to a 3-0 Tigers triumph at Globe Life Field. Getting the save was Jim Kerr, his 21st. With the win, Detroit has a record of 34-46. Texas falls to 40-40.

Detroit starter Steve Burrows was exceptional. The 6-foot-0 left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8.2 innings of work.

"Steve is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Detroit manager Fraser Stewart.
