River Bandits Get Clutch Win Versus Dayton
|
The Quad Cities River Bandits beat the Dayton Dragons, 3-2, at Modern Woodmen Park. Ivan Noring, in particular, was impressive. He was 5-5 with 5 singles. The win gives Quad Cities a season record of 65-34.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Noring. Facing Eric Hood with the bases loaded, the Quad Cities first baseman had a run-scoring single. Game over, walk-off style!
"This place was jumping at the end," Noring said.
