Rockies Knock Off Cubs, 5-2
|
Due in large part to left fielder Chris Kelley, the Colorado Rockies sunk the Chicago Cubs, 5-2. Kelley was 3 for 4 with 2 triples and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Greg Dillard picked up the win, lifting his record to 8-4 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 5 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Colorado is now 56-24, Chicago 32-48.
Early in the game, Kelley had a run-scoring triple for Colorado. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Rockies on top, 2-1.
