Fisher Cats Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats defeated the Akron RubberDucks, 4-3, in 10 innings in Eastern League action at Canal Park. New Hampshire pitcher Alex Gonzalez had a standout performance. Josh Link got the save, the 1st for him this season. The win for the Fisher Cats lifted their record to 18-11.
New Hampshire used the timely hitting of Victor Mediano to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Fisher Cats on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame comments, Gonzalez said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
