Bowling Green Offense Sputters in 6-0 Loss
|
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Mike Duty. The left-hander kept the Bowling Green offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-0 Wisconsin victory at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The winner was Duty. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Ken Acklin. Earning his 1st save for Wisconsin was Ben Gill.
Jeremy Dunn had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Wisconsin. With the bases loaded and the Timber Rattlers leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Dunn.
The Timber Rattlers raised their record to 40-48.
