Chavera Propels Kane County to 1-0 Win
|
Getting an impressive start from Victor Chavera, Kane County beat Quad Cities by the score of 1-0. Mike Thompson picked up the save for Kane County, his 1st of the year. The victory gives the Cougars a record of 35-29.
Chavera was in the zone all game. He frustrated Quad Cities hitters while giving the Cougars 8 innings of quality work. Chavera threw 84 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 5 punchouts.
"Victor was aggressive right out of the chute," said Kane County manager .
