Lansing shortstop Jordan Ramos helped his team beat the Lake County Captains, 9-5. Ramos went 2 for 4 for the Lugnuts. Lansing reliever Steve Jones got the win, raising his record to 2-3. Robby Collins was tagged with the loss. The Lugnuts win now puts them at 34-29.

Andres Ortiz's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 3-3. The Lansing center fielder hit a run-scoring single off Robby Collins to put the Lugnuts up.
