Texas Falters Again, Loses, 4-0, to Toronto
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Toronto Blue Jays and Texas Rangers.
Pitcher Kevin Hollowell was sensational for the Toronto Blue Jays in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Texas Rangers. Hollowell earned the win. The winner was Hollowell. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Douggie Rwabugini.
Toronto used the hitting of Dan Leeuw to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 4-0. For the game, Leeuw had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Leeuw said his team "played with focus and determination."
