Wolfe, Timber Rattlers Fall to Dragons
|
The game between Dayton and Wisconsin is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Dayton Dragons overcame a pretty good performance by Wisconsin designated hitter Danny Wolfe, beating the Timber Rattlers, 13-7, at Day Air Ballpark. Wolfe went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Norm Tichota was the winner. Over 6 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts.
Marvin Rosales had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fourth for Dayton. With the bases loaded and the Dragons leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Rosales told the Dayton Today.
The Dragons improved to 26-22.
