Cubs Sneak By Nationals, 4-3

The Chicago Cubs withstood an impressive performance by Washington first baseman Alexis Molina to defeat the Nationals, 4-3, at Caterpillar Field. Molina was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Chris Silk picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Steve Petty suffered the loss. The win for the Cubs lifted their record to 41-23.
Mike Keller was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cubs center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Exhilarating win," said Keller.
