Mets Lose as Brewers Stage Late Rally
The Brewers grabbed a win, 3-1, at The Big Apple, overcoming a fine effort from New York pitcher Jim Parks. Parks went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Patrício Kimura, who is tied for 5th in the NL in wins with 6, was the winner in relief. His record is now 6-1. The losing pitcher was Doug Stringham. Earning his 3rd save for Milwaukee was Brad Tallant.

Erik Zankich came through with a big-time hit for Milwaukee. The right fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Good to pick up this win," Zankich said.

The Brewers improved their record to 36-26 by beating New York.
