River Bandits Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Quad Cities River Bandits did just enough to nip the Clinton LumberKings, 8-7, in 10 innings. Quad Cities shortstop Dane Casaletto, in particular, had a standout performance. Quad Cities is 28-5 and Clinton, with the loss, 18-15.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Quad Cities pinch hitter Tony Castaneda, facing Rob Grimm, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the River Bandits the 8-7 win.
"It took some doing, but we got what we came for," said River Bandits manager .
