River Bandits Losers, 5-3, Versus Great Lakes

At Modern Woodmen Park, the Quad Cities River Bandits and Great Lakes Loons were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Great Lakes starter Jose Santoyo pitched well against the Quad Cities River Bandits at Modern Woodmen Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Santoyo picked up the win for Great Lakes, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2.
Great Lakes took advantage of an error in the top of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Andres Aguilar hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Loons in front, 2-1.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Santoyo.
The defeat makes Quad Cities 21-8.
