The Beloit Snappers went down to defeat to Josh Pershing and his Burlington teammates. The final score was 7-1, in favor of the Bees. Mario Calvo earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. Beloit is now 3-8.
Burlington right fielder Ruben Nunoz contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 9th hit of the season and put the Bees ahead, 1-0.
"Everything was on," said Pershing.
