Fisher Cats Turn Back Hartford, 2-1
|
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats had to overcome a good performance from Hartford pitcher Jeremy Kennady to claim a 2-1 win at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Kennady went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Chad Bledsoe recorded his 4th save for New Hampshire. The Yard Goats fall to 10-13 and continue their uneven start to the 2060 season.
In the bottom of the sixth, New Hampshire shortstop Steve McGovern gave his team the lead. With two out and a runner on 1st, Fever hit his 1st home run of the year. Hartford pitcher Jeremy Kennady surrendered it. With that, the Fisher Cats jumped in front, 2-1.
"We did just enough to win," McGovern said.
