Oriole Park at Camden Yards hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

Texas turned a good effort from starter Sid Harris into a win over the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The final score was 2-0. Harris, now 5-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs.

Texas used the timely hitting of Pat Thornton to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rangers on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"When Sid's on, he's on," said Texas manager Nate Reichard.

Texas currently is in third place in the American League West Division at 29-19.
