Woodard Lauded as Rumble Ponies Defeat Flying Squirrels, 8-6
Getting offensive support from Chris Woodard, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies topped the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 8-6. Woodard went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the Rumble Ponies. Keshawn Thibodeaux earned the save for Binghamton, his 1st of the year. The Flying Squirrels drop to 10-11 and continue their mediocre start to the 2059 season.

Binghamton took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 6-6, when Julio Carrillo hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Rumble Ponies in front, 8-6.

"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Carrillo after the game.
