Brewers Sink Mets, 4-2
|
The New York Mets went down to defeat to Bobby Born and his Milwaukee teammates. The final score was 4-2, in favor of the Brewers. Jared Clemens picked up the save, his 11th. The Milwaukee win streak is now 6 games.
Milwaukee used a clutch at-bat from Shamar Leavell to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Brewers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Winning is the only objective," said Leavell after the game.
