Nationals Sneak By Orioles, 3-2
|
Baltimore got a big-time effort from pitcher Dave Orr, but it wasn't enough to keep the Washington Nationals from winning the game, 3-2. Orr threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The win went to Chris Terry in relief, making him now 1-0. Bobby Richardson took the loss for Baltimore. The Orioles, now 17-27, have lost 4 straight.
Alexis Molina was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nationals first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was electric at the end," Molina said.
