Barons Handed 5-1 Loss by Jackson
|
Jackson turned a fine outing from starter Steve Dansie into a victory over the Birmingham Barons at Regions Field. The final score was 5-1. In 6.1 innings, Dansie surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The last-place Generals now have a win-loss record of 47-79.
It could have been a different outcome for Jackson, had it not been for Jaylin Epps, the 22-year old first baseman . Epps contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Jackson up, 3-0.
"Glad to go home with a win," said Epps.
