St. Louis first baseman Mitch Wannemacher had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cardinals dropped a 7-4 decision to Atlanta at Busch Stadium. Wannemacher went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Josh MacDonald, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 4. The Braves move to 23-20 with the win, while the Cardinals drop to 19-24.
