Nationals Lick Brewers, 11-0
|
Washington and Milwaukee got after it at Miller Park.
The Washington Nationals routed the Milwaukee Brewers, 11-0, at Miller Park. Josh Edgell, who finished 5th in the NL in stolen bases with 59 in 2056, was one of the hitting stars. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for Washington. Chris Sneddon, the winner, goes to 6-1. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, with no walks and 3 strikeouts over 8.1 innings.
Edgell made an early impact for Washington when he stroked his 3rd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Nationals on top, 5-0.
Milwaukee manager Minwook Choi called the blowout loss "not what we wanted."
Washington is now 25-18.
