The New Hampshire Fisher Cats picked up a win at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, downing the Altoona Curve, 3-1. On the mound for New Hampshire was left-hander Kevin Strainer, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 7 innings, Strainer surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. Earning his 2nd save for New Hampshire was C.J. Hoeth.

In the top of the ninth, Elijah Fisher stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Curve were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when C.J. Hoeth made a terrific pitch and Fisher struck out. Gone was the dream of a Altoona comeback.
