The Kansas City Royals bested the Las Vegas Athletics, 10-7, at MGM Grand Field. Bert Stevenson was one of the standouts. He went 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Sergio Polanco earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. The save went to Chris Stock, his 12th this season.

Stevenson got the Royals off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single.

"The guys seem happy with the win. That's good, I guess," said Stevenson.

Kansas City now sits at 24-18, while Las Vegas falls to 21-22.
