Behind a fine performance from Orlando Meneses, the Frisco RoughRiders knocked off the Springfield Cardinals, 4-1. Meneses was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk for the RoughRiders. Alexis Diaz came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 4.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. At 56-60, the RoughRiders claim third place in the TX/SL Texas League.
With Frisco leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Meneses hit a curveball from Marco Lopez for a solo home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the RoughRiders ahead, 2-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Frisco manager .
