Midland parlayed a decent outing from starter Justin Mills into a solid win over the Corpus Christi Hooks. The final score was 8-4. Mills got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Chris Crooks earned the save for Midland, his 5th.

Dusty Garrick had a big 2-run home run for the RockHounds in the bottom of the sixth inning.
