Kevin Salmon did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the West Virginia Power from being beaten, 7-6, to the Greensboro Grasshoppers at First National Bank Field. Salmon was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win belonged to Victor Ortiz in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Greg Murphy took the loss for West Virginia. At 88-44, Greensboro is in first place in the South Atlantic League Northern Division.

Greensboro took the lead, 7-4, on Gus Anglero's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off West Virginia pitcher Greg Murphy in the bottom of the seventh.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Anglero told the Greensboro Daily News.
