The Columbia Fireflies sent the home crowd home ecstatic.

Columbia first baseman Ian Lochard picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Rome Braves, 6-5, in 11 innings. Columbia reliever Juan Koegel picked up the win, upping his record to 5-9. Sergio Polanco was saddled with the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Columbia first baseman Colin Robe, facing Jose de Leon, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Fireflies the 6-5 win.

"This game was intense," Robe said, postgame.

The 6th-place Fireflies now have a win-loss record of 62-69.
