8-3 Triumph Takes Kannapolis to 76-47
|
In the 8-3 Kannapolis win over Rome, the impact of Josh Butina was substantial. Butina, who is tied for 5th in the SAL in total bases with 178, was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Kannapolis now owns a record of 76-47.
Kannapolis used the hitting of Arturo Exiga to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cannon Ballers on top, 7-0. For the game, Exiga had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Exiga said.
