Galilei has 3 hits to Ignite Drive Offense
|
The Greenville Drive stopped the Rome Braves, 10-6, behind an impressive performance from Orazio Galilei. The 22-year old center fielder made life miserable for Rome pitching. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Reliever Adrian Jaramillo picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Eddie Hickok took the loss. The second-place Braves dropped to 65-53.
Jerry Fountain drove in 2 runs for Greenville. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the sixth, Fountain came through with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Drive in front, 7-6.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Fountain said.
