The umbrellas came out during the Greenville-Asheville contest at McCormick Field.
Greenville center fielder Chris Terry played a vital role in his team's 8-7 conquest of Asheville. He went 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Greenville. Greenville reliever Ruben Perez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Steve Demers took the loss. Mike Seal nailed down his 7th save.
Vinita, Oklahoma-born Adam Smith came through in the clutch. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded and the Drive trailing 7-6, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Greenville on top.
