Crawdads Lose Big to Tourists, 11-1
|
The Asheville Tourists clobbered the Hickory Crawdads, 11-1, at L.P. Frans Stadium. Leading the onslaught was Sergio Rocha. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Asheville. The winning pitcher was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Andy Bauer. He tossed 99 pitches over 7 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits. With the win, the Tourists improved to 60-30.
