The skies opened up and the rain fell at Segra Park.

The West Virginia Power trumped the Columbia Fireflies, 7-2, at Segra Park. West Virginia catcher Ben Brown was terrific. He went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. With the win, the Power improved to 41-42.

With West Virginia leading 3-2 in the top of the ninth, Brown batted against Columbia pitcher Jonathan Wilson. Brown hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Power on top, 7-2.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said West Virginia skipper . "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
