Braves Handed 3-0 Loss by Greensboro
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Greensboro Grasshoppers and the Rome Braves, 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jeremy Roos was the difference-maker. The Greensboro right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Jeff Morrow closed out the game, earning his 4th save. The win puts the Grasshoppers at 54-23, while the Braves drop to 43-34.
The Grasshoppers got a big at-bat from catcher Tim Traini. For the game, Traini went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Greensboro a 2-0 lead.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Traini told the Greensboro Daily News.
