Braves Get Thrilling 6-5 Win
|
Danny Ostos led the charge as the Rome Braves defeated the Asheville Tourists, 6-5, in 10 innings at McCormick Field. Ostos, who is tied for 5th in the SAL in bases on balls with 42, went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. With this game in the books, Rome is 30-36, Asheville 42-24.
Vinny Goetschel drew 1 walk in 2 plate appearances against the Tourists. With the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Rome in front, 6-5.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Ostos told the Rome Herald.
