The 2058 season is going from bad to worse for Columbia.

The Asheville Tourists picked up a win at Segra Park, knocking off the Columbia Fireflies, 6-1. Starting pitcher Sergio Polanco played a key role in the triumph. The Fireflies, now 20-43, have lost 9 in a row.

David Corona was vital to the Asheville win. He went 1 for 2 with 2 walks. In the top of the fourth with two out, Corona hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-1, in favor of the Tourists.

Columbia manager , after the latest defeat, said, "We've got to clean it up. We've got to play better."
