Rome had no answer for Greenville Drive hurler Mike Rascon, who overwhelmed Braves hitters as the Drive coasted to victory, 7-1. The winner was Rascon. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Josh Jestus. Greenville bumps their record to 30-31 with the win.
With Greenville leading 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Dave Burgess hit a run-scoring single off Rome pitcher Josh Jestus. It put the Drive ahead 2-0.
"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Rascon.
