Shorebirds Earn Late Win
Shorebirds left fielder Eric Auer left his imprint on his team's 3-2 win over the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. Auer went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Delmarva in the contest. Levy Ivgi closed the game out for Delmarva, earning his 2nd save. The win puts the Shorebirds at 21-33, while the Cannon Ballers drop to 32-22.

Auer had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 slider from Brad Clark, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Shorebirds a 3-2 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Auer.

"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Shorebirds manager .
